It is with a heavy heart I share the awful news that Open Minds Counselling Services has not secured continuation funding for our award-winning counselling service.

 

This means that we are losing nearly all of our team on 1st June 2025.

 

Our capacity will go from working 6 days a week with 43 children aged 8 and over, and 43 adults, to fewer than 20 adults a week, mostly provided by volunteers. 

​

We know this is a devastating loss for Doncaster, and we are holding onto the fact that since 2007 we have supported over 4,000 adults, and more than 1,700 children through counselling support, with 96% reporting improved mental health and wellbeing. 

 

Please bear with us during this difficult time as we figure out what the future holds.
